About LabelBaby

LabelBaby exists for one moment: you are holding a package, the front says “natural”, and the ingredient list says something else. We turn that list into a straight answer for your child specifically.

What is LabelBaby?

LabelBaby is a mobile app from Sothes LLC that scans the barcode or ingredient label on packaged baby food, formula, snacks, wipes, lotions, and cosmetics, and returns a Safe, Caution, or Avoid verdict personalised to your child's age in months and saved allergens. It evaluates 470+ ingredients against AAP, FDA, and EFSA guidance, names the specific ingredient it flagged and why, and alerts you when a scanned or saved product appears in open FDA recall data.

  • Category: baby food and baby product ingredient safety scanner.
  • Personalised per child from 0 to 24 months, with multiple baby profiles.
  • Covers non-food items too: wipes, lotions, and cosmetics.
  • Pricing: $9.99 per month, or $69.99 once for lifetime access through 24 months.
  • Made by Sothes LLC, a MetricPoint product; launching on iOS and Android.

Why we built it

Pack claims are marketing. Ingredient lists are the truth, and they are printed in six-point type while you hold a toddler. Existing tools either score food for adults or teach you how to prepare whole food at home — useful, but neither helps in the aisle with a packaged product and a child who reacts to dairy.

So LabelBaby does one thing properly: judge a packaged ingredient list against one specific child. Age in months, not a broad age band. The allergens you saved, not a generic top-nine list. And a named reason for every flag, so you can check us against the pack rather than take our word for it.

What we will not claim

LabelBaby is not medical advice and does not diagnose allergies. It cannot tell you how to cut a whole food to reduce choking risk — for that, use a dedicated first-foods preparation guide. And a formulation can change before any database catches up, so the printed label always beats the app.

LabelBaby is operated by Sothes LLC and powered by the MetricPoint Ingredient Intelligence Engine. Questions: support@sothesllc.com.
